John Lennon37回忌 Nonstop John Lennon・Rock Bar Upset the apple-cartにて

新宿３丁目にあるロックバーUpset the apple-cartでは、毎年John Lennonの命日の12月8日に、Johnを偲んで「Nonstop John Lennon」が行われます。19:00にスタートし24:00過ぎまで、The Beatles時代にJohnがメインボーカルを務めた曲や、ソロ時代の曲をノンストップでかけていきます。

19:00 １曲めは「Love Me Do（1962年）」。

22:08 「Give Peace A Chance （1969年）」からソロ時代に。

00:09 最後の曲は「(Just Like)Starting Over（1980年）」。

約4年間次男ショーンの養育のためにハウス・ハズバンド業を続けてきて、ようやくレコーディング活動を再開した矢先の12月8日に銃撃されて亡くなりました。「(Just Like)Starting Over」の歌詞には、新しい出発への意欲が込められています。
